Route overview

A classic pair of contrasting Munros situated on the north side of beautiful Glen Affric. The route combines the sharp, rocky crest of Tom a' Chòinich with the broad, mossy dome of Toll Creagach, offering superb views over Loch Mullardoch and the surrounding wilderness.

Terrain and underfoot

The outing begins on a hydro track before transitioning to a boggy glen path. The ascent of Tom a' Chòinich follows a rocky but straightforward ridge, while the descent from Toll Creagach crosses pathless, mossy slopes. Two burn crossings in the glen can become impassable during or after heavy rain.
