Route overview
This classic traverse of Glen Coe's most iconic peak takes in two Munros along a dramatic, undulating ridge. Starting with a steep ascent of Coire na Tulaich, the route visits the prominent summit of Stob Dearg before tracing the high crest southwest over Stob na Doire to Stob na Bròige, returning via the scenic Lairig Gartain.
Terrain and underfoot
The route features exceptionally steep, rocky ascents and descents on constructed but rough paths. The high ridge is broad and bouldery, requiring careful navigation in poor visibility, particularly around Stob na Doire. The descent through Coire Altruim involves minor scrambling on wet rock, followed by a stream crossing and a final walk back along the busy A82.
