Route overview

An outstanding horseshoe outing in the western Fannichs, taking in three distinct Munros. Starting near Loch a' Bhraoin, the route climbs the grassy dome of Meall a' Chrasgaidh before traversing the dramatic, airy crest of Sgùrr nan Clach Geala. A final ridge leads to Sgùrr nan Each, offering superb, expansive views across the wild landscapes of Wester Ross.

Terrain and underfoot

The high ridges offer excellent walking on mostly clear paths, but the initial ascent and final descent are pathless, steep, and often boggy. Navigating the descent from Cadha na Guite to the Allt Breabaig valley requires care in poor visibility. Lower down, the return path crosses several burns; the Allt Daimh Mor can become impassable during periods of heavy rain or high spate.
