Route overview
This classic, high-level traverse follows the quartzite ridge of the Grey Corries, taking in three Munros. Characterised by its pale, stony crests and deep corries, the route offers a demanding day out for hillwalkers, with extensive views across the Lochaber peaks and an airy feel throughout.
Terrain and underfoot
The high ridge is predominantly rough, rocky, and stony, with some narrow, airy sections and light scrambling that can be bypassed. In contrast, the initial ascent and final descent cross pathless, wet, and boggy grassy slopes. Navigation is straightforward in clear weather but requires care on the complex, craggy plateau in poor visibility.
