Sgòr na h-Ulaidh

Sgòr na h-Ulaidh and Meall Lighiche

Route overview

Tucked away behind the grander Glen Coe giants, Sgòr na h-Ulaidh offers a quieter, rugged sanctuary. This route pairs the Munro with the Corbett Meall Lighiche, offering a satisfying horseshoe around Gleann Leac na Muidhe. It features dramatic ridge walking, steep climbs, and superb views over Glen Creran and the surrounding peaks.

Terrain and underfoot

The route features a mix of farm tracks, boggy valley sections, and exceptionally steep, pathless slopes. The ascent from Bealach Easan up Corr na Beinn is particularly steep on grass and rock, requiring careful route-finding and dry conditions. The initial crossing of the Allt Gleann Leac na Muidhe is straightforward in normal conditions but can become impassable when the river is in spate.
