Route overview

This classic pair of Munros rises directly above the Glencoe Mountain Ski Centre, offering a direct and efficient outing into the high peaks of the Black Mount. Starting with a steep climb alongside the ski lifts, the route transitions into a rugged ridge walk, culminating in superb, expansive views across Rannoch Moor and the dramatic peaks of Glen Etive.

Terrain and underfoot

The initial ascent follows a steep, eroded path beneath the ski lifts before crossing a boggy bealach on a narrow, marked trail. Higher up, the terrain becomes increasingly rugged, with boulder fields on the upper slopes of Meall a' Bhùiridh and a steep, rocky climb to gain the high ridge of Creise. Navigation is straightforward in clear conditions but requires care on the stony plateaus during poor visibility.
