A' Ghlas-bheinn

A' Ghlas Bheinn and the Falls of Glomach

Route overview

An engaging loop from Morvich that combines the ascent of the rugged Munro A' Ghlas Bheinn with a spectacular detour to the dramatic Falls of Glomach. The route journeys through the wild Gleann Choinneachain before tackling steep, undulating ridges, returning via a pathless moorland traverse and a scenic descent through the Dorusduain Wood.

Terrain and underfoot

The initial approach follows excellent stalker paths up to Bealach an Sgairne. The climb onto the Munro is on a rougher, steep, and undulating mountain path. The descent northwards is very steep and pathless across rough moorland to reach Bealach na Sroine. The detour to the Falls of Glomach follows a clear but exposed path. The Allt a' Choire Chaoil crossing can become impassable in spate.
