Where should I stay for a Munro bagging holiday?
The best base depends on the hills in your own plan. Fort William offers exceptional breadth, while areas such as Torridon, Kintail, the Cairngorms and Perthshire can be stronger for particular groups. Compare individual front-door drive times rather than choosing from a town name alone.
Can I find cottages near Munros I have not climbed?
Yes. Sign in with the same account as the Munro Planner app and choose the personal ranking. Completed hills are removed from the useful-reach count for each cottage.
Are the cottage drive times live traffic times?
No. They are cached planning estimates along the road network. Allow extra time for traffic, ferries, road closures, parking and remote access tracks.
